The application window will run from today until March 3rd. Groups that hold fundraising events on popular weekends are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. The guidelines and application form is available now at marineharvest.ca.
Volunteers and Marine Harvest staff have teamed up to raise more than $120,000 over the past six years, with all proceeds going to local charities from the Comox Valley to Port Hardy.
“Last summer’s barbecue season was a busy one for us,” says Marine Harvest chef Cori Wheeler. “Our salmon noodle salad was popular as a gluten free option so we are pleased to keep it on the menu for 2017.”
The specially built trailer – which includes two large grills, four washing stations, hot water, and two fridges – helps raise funds for local charities by barbecuing delicious salmon for burgers and salads. It is certified for food use by the Vancouver Island Health Authority.
